INTRODUCING THE PORTABLE ROOF TOP BALLAST UNLOADER & DELIVERY SYSTEM

The Portable Ballast Unloader and Delivery System is the least expensive and safest alternative to dangerous ballast blow-back systems and is far more versatile. The Ballast Unloader is used with a VecLoader Roofer or other high-powered vacuum to deliver ballast of all sizes onto a roof, into dump trucks, semi-trailers and roll-offs or between alternative roof locations. The Ballast Unloader is mounted on a heavy duty skid with retractable wheels for crane, fork truck and manual placement.

Vector Technologies Ltd. and its Vacuum Engineering division have been building vacuum loaders for Roofers for over thirty years. We began with the concept of a trailer mounted vacuum designed to remove ballast from roofs and proudly continue our commitment to provide labor saving equipment to the roofing professional. VecLoader 422s, 522s, 622s, 721s, Magnums and Roofers have been on thousands of roofing jobs and maintain a highly devoted following. Vector now introduces the Portable Roof Top Ballast Unloader and Delivery System, a safe and affordable ballast delivery system.

The Portable Roof Top Ballast Unloader and Delivery System is the least expensive and safest alternative to dangerous ballast blow-back systems and is far more versatile.

Using the Ballast Unloader and Delivery System is relatively simple:

  1. Position Unloader at chosen delivery location.
  2. Start up VecLoader Roofer vacuum to provide vacuum power.
  3. Vacuum and deliver dust-free ballast to the Unloader.

The Ballast Unloader and Delivery System concept is based upon cyclonic separation. During the vacuuming process, ballast is "intercepted" and discharged at the Unloader rather than continuing on to the vacuum. In addition to inexpensive and safe ballast delivery, another significant benefit is that the ballast becomes "dust-free" as the lighter dust, pitch and contaminates are drawn to the vacuum with only the ballast being intercepted at the Unloader.

The system consists of a cyclone hopper having either a 4, 5 or 6" diameter replaceable inlet and 1.5 cubic yard capacity conical storage. It can be matched to any large trailer or truck vacuum. The Unloader is mounted on a heavy duty skid with crane hooks and retractable wheels to provide for easy movement on the ground or roof. The wheels and tow bar are retracted using four heavy duty hand-jacks when the system is in its working position. The hopper sits on two telescoping tube legs so it can be raised over carts, drums, barrels and other collection devices. Ballast Unloader and Delivery Systems can also be positioned both in and on top of roll offs, dump trucks, semi-trailers, etc., by crane or fork truck.

Dumping is accommodated by a gravity dump system which activates when the vacuum dump cycle is initiated. Solid state controls automatically dump collected ballast on a pre-selected time cycle.
