Pure Air, Pure Genius

The VecLoader Hepa Vac 721 is a completely self-contained, trailer mounted, vacuum unit capable of evacuating asbestos fibers and any other hazardous waste stream requiring HEPA filtration. At an operating rate of up to 23 tons per hour, the Hepa Vac 721 transports material through a 6" inch smooth bore suction hose at distances up to 1,200 feet. In addition, several 2 ½ inch or 4 inch suction hoses may be operated simultaneously. From pick up to bagging, materials are captured in this fully enclosed, negative pressure system. Only bagged materials goes to the dump. The Hepa Vac never leaves the site, working continuously until your job is done.

From the pick up point, the collected material travels through the hose to a cyclone separator, where it is bagged directly from the vacuum. Bagging is accomplished using a new, totally enclosed valve assembly designed especially for the Hepa Vac 721. It allows an operator total control of the bagging process by isolating the material as it flows from the cyclone collector into the collection bag. To give you flexibility in positioning the bagging station at the job site, the cyclone separator discharge spout can be elevated to any position up to 8'6" above the ground. At the pick up point, one man operates the suction hose. At the bagging station, another man fills and removes the bags. It's simple, fast and safe.

The Filtering Process

The first filtering stage consists of a series of water injection nozzles positioned at he cyclone separator inlet. Incoming material can be monitored to determine whether it is being sufficiently wetted with additional water being added at the inlet as required.

Once the material enters the cyclone separator, it decelerates and falls into the discharge cone of the cyclone where more water may be added if needed. This is the second filtration step.

During the third stage of filtration, fines remaining in the air stream are captured by a set of filters which are continually self-cleaned by reverse pulses of high pressure air.

The fourth filtration stage is the HEPA filter. Located on the negative side of the vacuum pump, it is your final assurance that all state and federal guidelines for air filtration are met. The HEPA filter is continuously monitored throughout the vacuum cycle to guard against filter system failure. An alarm sounds immediately, when the HEPA filter becomes loaded. The system will automatically shut down and cannot be restarted until the HEPA filter problem is corrected.

The Hepa Vac does not rely on the HEPA filter alone for particle removal. With its series of four filtration stages, the Hepa Vac 721 is a unique, state-of-the-art abatement vacuum machine. It is engineered to provide the highest levels of safety and operator control during the entire material removal process.
