Discussion - Diesel Titan Klean Shot XL

The Titan Klean Shot XL is a unique and versatile Shot XL or grit cleaning system for the continuous recycling and conveying of spent media in a variety of blast operations. With the Titan Klean Shot XL, spent media can be thoroughly cleaned for use and re-use while maintaining an appropriate operating mix with an absence of contaminants.

Performance:

• The Titan Klean Shot XL will work in conjunction with any industrial vacuum loading machine.

• The Titan Klean Shot XL is capable of continuously cleaning Shot XL or grit at a rate of up to twelve tons per hour (depending on vacuum source used).

• The Titan Klean Shot XL features a proprietary four-stage cleaning process enabling the operator to achieve maximum precision, speed and cleaning efficiency with a variety of blast media operation mixes and particle sizes. The Titan Klean Shot XL has a proprietary air wash system offering product specific variable speed operation and precise operator control of the cleaning process.

General Operation:

• Used Shot XL or grit is efficiently cleaned by the Titan Klean Shot XL after being drawn into the system utilizing a VecLoader Titan industrial vacuum loader or a similar capacity customer supplied high-powered vacuum system. Throughput will be limited by the customer's requirements. Pneumatic conveyance is accomplished by a customer supplied air compressor (200 CFM minimum is required).

• The Titan Klean Shot XL features a unique four-stage cleaning process utilizing a combination of cyclonic separation, rotary screens, vertical air washing and an integral dust collector

• Stage 1- During the initial Shot XL or grit loading stage, light fines are cyclonically separated from the material being loaded into the Titan Klean Shot XL and carried over to the VecLoader Titan industrial vacuum loader or other customer supplied high-powered vacuum system.

• Stage 2- Trash is then segregated from the collected Shot XL or grit in the Titan Klean Shot XL second stage by using a proprietary rotating screen system which deposits the segregated trash into a separate 55 gallon drum.

• Stage 3- Collected Shot XL or grit passing through these first two pre-cleaning stages is then metered through the Titan Klean Shot XL proprietary air wash cleaning system where the remaining foreign particulate is separated and then transferred to the integral dust collection system. After being air washed, the processed Shot XL or grit is gravity fed to the lower transport chamber which is then pressurized to direct the fully cleaned Shot XL or grit to a blast pot, steel drum or other storage container.

• Stage 4- Foreign particulate segregated by the Titan Klean Shot XL proprietary air wash system is transported to the integral dust collector. The baghouse on the Titan Klean Shot XL provides 2,130 square feet of pleated paper microfiltration. Cartridge type filters are continuously cleaned during operation by reverse pulse-air. The baghouse differential pressure is continuously monitored by a magnehelic gauge. A 16" manhole is provided for baghouse inspection and maintenance access. Material collected in the baghouse is discharged by a hydraulic auger system and collected for disposal in 55 gallon drums or other disposal containers.

General Specifications:

• The Titan Klean Shot XL is powered by an 22 Hp diesel engine equipped with low oil pressure and high coolant temperature shut-downs, tachometer, hour meter and charging system.

• The engine drives a centrifugal variable speed fan capable of producing 3,000 to 6,000 CFM airflow.

• The Titan Klean Shot XL primary collection hopper is a fully self-contained unit with rigid support arms and safety supports. It is raised and lowered with an on-board hydraulic system.

• All working components are mounted on a trailer equipped with (2) 6,000 pound axles, hydraulic surge brakes, heavy-duty ring type hitch, four 8.0x14.15 - 12 ply tire, parking brakes, leveling jack stands and emergency break-away features.

• The Titan Klean Shot XL is also available as a skid-mounted unit and as an electric unit.
